Andrew Morgan

Andrew Morgan brings extensive military leadership, medical, and backcountry operational experience to BUSAR. A 22-year U.S. Army veteran, Morgan served as a Special Forces Captain and medical officer, leading teams in high-pressure environments where disciplined decision-making and mission execution were critical.

His operational background includes advanced medical care, search tactics, off-trail travel, leadership in austere environments, and complex rescue operations. In addition to his military service, Morgan currently works as a Certified Physician Assistant and serves as a Tennessee AMRT Strike Team Leader, combining medical expertise with extensive field experience in remote terrain.

Raised in the Appalachian Mountains, Morgan developed a deep respect for wilderness travel, resilience, and service at an early age. Throughout his career, he has become known for his calm leadership style, ability to unify teams under pressure, and willingness to step forward during difficult situations. His experience in both military and civilian emergency operations provides valuable leadership and operational capability to BUSAR missions.

Known for his servant leadership mindset and commitment to preparation, Morgan emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and maintaining high standards in the field. His combination of tactical experience, medical training, and operational leadership continues to strengthen BUSAR’s backcountry rescue and response capabilities.
