Cody Watson

Cody serves as Quartermaster for BUSAR, providing logistical coordination, equipment management, and operational support for the team’s backcountry rescue missions. Raised in Seymour, Tennessee, Watson developed a strong sense of discipline, responsibility, and self-reliance early in life, shaped by family values and a commitment to service.

A retired U.S. Air Force Security Forces veteran, Watson brings extensive experience in public safety, operational planning, and mission support. His background includes logistics coordination, EMS operations as an Advanced EMT (AEMT), land navigation, bushcraft, technical problem-solving, and field support in demanding operational environments.

Within BUSAR, Watson is responsible for maintaining mission readiness through equipment oversight, supply coordination, sponsorship relationships, and logistical planning. Known throughout the team for his resourcefulness and ability to solve difficult problems under pressure, he is respected for consistently finding practical solutions and ensuring teams have the equipment and support needed to operate effectively in the field.

In addition to his operational responsibilities, Watson remains committed to EMS, wilderness medicine, and mentoring others in rescue and backcountry skills. His dedication to preparation, service, and operational reliability continues to strengthen BUSAR’s mission readiness and field support capabilities.
